Welcome to Binee, operated by Tecknocity ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.
2. Information we collect
Personal information
When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:
- Name and email address
- Account credentials
- Billing and payment information
- Company or organization name
Usage data
We automatically collect certain information when you interact with our services, including:
- Browser type and version
- IP address and approximate location
- Pages visited and features used
- Date, time, and duration of visits
- Referring website or source
Third-party integrations
When you connect the work tools your business already uses (for example your project management, email, calendar, document, and team chat tools), we may access data from those services as authorized by you. Each integration is connected through your own account authorization, and we only access the data necessary to provide our services. The current list of available integrations is shown on our integrations page.
Support chat
If you use the support chat on our website, we collect the contents of your conversation and any contact details you share in it so we can answer you. The chat is provided by Intercom, and your conversations are processed by Intercom on our behalf (Intercom is a US company; see Service providers below). The chat loads only after you accept cookies in our consent banner (see the cookies section below).
Google user data
If you connect your Google account, Binee accesses, with your explicit consent on Google's consent screen: your email address and profile name (to show you which account is connected), your Gmail messages (read only, to answer your questions about your own email and, if you turn it on, to alert you about new incoming mail), your Google Calendar events (read only, to answer questions about your schedule), and your Google Drive files (read only, to find and summarize files you ask about).
Gmail, Calendar, and Drive content is read live from Google when you ask a question and is not copied into our database; for inbox alerts we process only the headers and short snippets of mail that arrives after you opt in. Your Google sign-in tokens are stored encrypted, and each team member's Google data is accessible only through their own connection. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not use it to train AI models, and no human at Binee reads it except with your permission for support or security purposes, or where required by law. Disconnecting Google in Settings revokes our access and deletes your stored tokens.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use your information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing, maintaining, and improving our services
- Processing transactions and managing your account
- Sending service-related communications and updates
- Analyzing usage patterns to enhance user experience
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing security issues
- Complying with legal obligations
AI processing and model training
Binee uses AI models to answer your questions, perform requested actions, and generate insights from the data you and your integrations provide. Your business data is not used to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in; the default is no.
Marketing emails
We send marketing and product news emails only if you opt in through the checkbox at signup. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of these emails, or by contacting us. Service emails about your account, billing, or security are sent regardless, because the service needs them to work.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
- Service providers who assist in operating our platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing)
- Third-party integrations you have explicitly authorized
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Service providers we use
These are the main service providers (processors) that handle your data on our behalf:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account data and workspace data are stored there.
- Vercel hosts our website and app and provides basic, cookie-free site analytics.
- Stripe processes payments. We never store your full card details; Stripe handles them directly.
- Anthropic provides the AI models that power Binee. Data sent to them for processing is not used to train their models.
- Intercom powers the support chat on our website, including an AI support agent that may answer you first before a human does. Intercom processes the contents of your support conversations and any contact details you share in the chat, and it sets cookies in your browser. It loads only after you accept cookies in our consent banner.
- Google Analytics measures how our website and app are used, for example which pages are visited, so we can improve them. It receives anonymized usage data and, where you accept cookies, sets cookies in your browser. Where we ask for consent, it runs without cookies until you accept (Google Consent Mode).
5. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. We may also retain data as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time

9. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
